Choosing the right destination wedding location for you and your soon to be, may for some of you, be as easy as thinking about the place you may have first fell in love, the place you planned your first getaway together, or maybe one of you is originally from a great city that you want to share with all your loved ones!  But for others it can be a bit tougher and daunting task!  After working in the wedding industry in Sedona for the last 10 years plus, we have worked with couples from every part of the globe and each had their own unique way of deciding that Sedona was their first choice for planning this special day!  Let’s discover why we have heard so many amusing stories over the years as to what makes getting hitched in Sedona so appealing to so many! 

Sedona has been a Mecca for people for decades as being a place that one comes to find themself, search for the meaning of life, feel the energy in their first vortex and explore their inner child.  For some, the thought of spending a day or more exploring, hiking and meandering through the multitude of red rock trails, looking for wildlife and soaking in the sun, is the main draw.  Others prefer the thrill of off roading and biking down these trails.  And still there are those who simply prefer to  spend time relaxing and taking in Sedona in a more tranquil way.  This could mean heading to one of the town’s several well manicured golf courses, relaxing by the pool for a few hours and then crawling into one of the myriad of  zen evoking experiences in one of our luxurious day spas.   And then of course, one must eat!  Sedona features many amazing award winning chefs and gourmet restaurants for the food enthusiast!  It is for all these reasons that getting married in Sedona is such a pleasing thought for so many!  

You will be able to entertain guests with all types of interests, likes and dislikes!  Making it an appealing place for your guests to want to visit.  There are also many options for lodging for budgets of all kinds. Some may choose to stay at one of the luxurious creekside resorts or maybe you all can find some close Air B N B’s to rent in the same area.  One thing to note is that Sedona has a pretty strict noise curfew and something that has happened over the last year or so, is that these creekside resorts may not allow you to have outdoor dancing, or music at all past 9:00 or maybe 10:00 PM.  It varies from location to location, so make sure you inquire about these rules before signing any paperwork.  

The views are magnificent and if that is what you are after, then look no further!  Nearly everywhere you go in Sedona, you can find a vista or rock formation worth photographing!  The images you get when you hire one of the great local photographers are always stunning! Make  sure you hire someone with knowledge of the area and how far (or not) you may have to hike to get that once in a lifetime shot!
